Compete as master architects to acquire cards and use them to build the highest towers. You’ll get cards if you are willing to take more than everyone else. But since you can only build one tower of each of the 5 types, taking too many cards at once can limit your options in the long run.

5 Towers is a classic auction bidding game. I really enjoy playing this as its quite fun, especially with new players. Towards the end, it can get quite tense because you're bidding but you don't want to take all of the cards. It becomes super fun. Great art style to it as well with little easter eggs throughout the design.
